The Garden of Epicurus was a place of gathering and exchange, where ideas flowed freely regardless of social status.
In my paintings, women nurse their babies intertwined with the plants. They appear slightly alien, liberated beings who care for their children as they choose, untouched by social norms that were created without them in mind.
