For All the Glory

How to betray oneself in five paintings.

For All the Glory is a series of portraits of women crowned with the flowers of social recognition.

These works explore feelings that emerge when a life is defined by self-sacrifice, dedicated to making others more comfortable at the cost of one’s own dreams and aspirations.

Their faces, painted in black and white, contrast with the more realistic flowers, emphasising how the pursuit of social validation often takes precedence over the personal.
