Women running

“Where the air is clean and I can be myself. Where I can flower without fear of being censored, laugh in peace and walk in the moonlight without fear.

Where my blood and my milk are worth more than gold. Where I get hugged by the earth that gives me wings. And where my heart sings.”

And then,

my jail was painted pink and I calmed down.

Women running is inspired by an unfinished collage by Hannah Höch from 1930, Antique Frieze.
