Vemod is a Swedish word that is used to describe a kind of Nordic melancholy, often related to nature.
Vemod is a painting about grief. It started as a self-portrait using face reading and using only the signs of grief on my face. But it didn’t work, so I transformed it into a more abstract veil of sorrow.
