Orgasmic birth

Anasyrma

Three muses
The Genesis series explores the origins of life through three paintings:
- Orgasmic Birth – Birth as the culmination of the sexual act, an ecstatic and transcendent experience of union with nature and the cosmos.
- Anasyrma – The act of lifting one’s skirt as a gesture of protest and appeasement, used to ward off demons, calm storms, and stop wars. Here, it is symbolized by a rose.
- Three Muses – Birth as both a physical and spiritual experience, guided by experienced women. The plants surrounding the figures reference medicinal herbs traditionally used to aid contractions.
Inspired by religious altarpieces, particularly those of El Greco, these paintings reinterpret sacred imagery to celebrate the power, mysticism, and sensuality of birth.

The Garden of Epicurus was a place of gathering and exchange, where ideas flowed freely regardless of social status. As a philosophical school that welcomed women and enslaved people as equals, discussions unfolded in a more complete and advanced way.
In my paintings, women nurse their babies in the orchard, intertwined with the plants. They appear slightly alien—liberated beings who care for their children as they choose, untouched by societal norms that were created without them in mind.
These works are inspired by the vision of a space of freedom, philosophy, poetry, art, and nature—where everyone can exist as they are and contribute as equals.

Medusa

Goethe

Bernini
These three paintings depict mythical beings dressed in 19th-century-suits. Their immense power clashes with societal expectations and cannot be contained within rigid conventions. They challenge the structures that seek to confine them.
Bernini – A one-eyed figure set against a stormy backdrop, with hair resembling both jellyfish tendrils and crackling lightning, embodying raw, untamed energy.
Medusa – Portrayed with an expression of terror, her serpentine hair in disarray, capturing a moment of anguish and defiance.
Goethe – A fusion of two identities: a wild, untamed face concealed beneath a composed, mask-like exterior, revealing the tension between instinct and restraint.
